A matte, full coverage, long lasting foundation from Revlon.
The Review:
I’ve always been a fan of the Revlon Colorstay line. I’ve had some great eyeshadows and lip colors from this line, but this is my first time trying their foundation.
This is a liquid formula, in a squeeze tube. There is no scent I can detect from the product.
The brand claims a 24 hour wear with this foundation. However I don’t think I would need to wear it for 24 hours straight, 12 hours is plenty.
I applied this with a duo fibre stippling brush. I like that the coverage is adjustable. You can sheer it out for a medium coverage, or build up to a full coverage. Even at full coverage, it still blends nicely and doesn’t look cakey.
Once applied onto the skin, the foundation delivers more of a velvet finish, rather than full matte. Personally, this is what I prefer, as a full matte finish makes my complexion look too flat and dull.
I wore the foundation for 12 hours with no need to touch up. Throughout the day, the foundation felt very comfortable and lightweight.
At the end of the day, I got a little bit of shine around my T-zone, but it wasn’t too noticeable.
For the price, I think this is a great drugstore foundation.
The Shades:
The Revlon Colorstay Full Cover Foundation comes in 11 shades. I’m usually around NC25 to NC30 in MAC foundations, and I found the shade 240 Medium Beige to be the best match for my skintone.
